AdsManager - End of life

It is with great regrets that we have chosen to end the developpement of Adsmanager and its other associated components.

AdsManager is born 10 years ago and, as of today, the number of new subscriptions and downloads have fallen and we cannot maintain the component anymore.

All active subscribers will be able to continue enjoying support until the end of their subscription.

The components will be free and no support will be provided anymore for the other users.

OK. Suppose we prepare a generic user account for non-users to share, is it possible to assign a separate user group and make whatever these generic user post display in its own page?

If that is possible, I believe AdsManager can handle all my needs.

If you want to be able to support payment for non users, you can contact us for a quote to add this in Invoicing/AdsManager. This will be an extra work.

One last question, i'm thinking of installing your free version component first and play around with it before deciding to upgrade to a paid version. Is the upgrade process straight-forward? If I make changes to any of the component files, would it be overwritten upon upgrade?

If you do only update in "template file" using Joomla Override:
www.joomprod.com/documentation/doc-view-override.html

You will be able to upgrade without problem, if you do some change in model, controller when you will upgrade your changes will be removed.

But without any code modification you can upgrade easily to pro version using the free one.

If I get your silver plan with JomSocial integration, would AdsManager main page appear inside JomSocial interface (with AdsManager menu being placed under JomSocial Menu bar)?

Integration with Jomsocial:

Display user ads on user profile
Redirect my profile page to jomsocial profile
Add activity in the activities stram on user when posting ads.
