AdsManager - End of life

It is with great regrets that we have chosen to end the developpement of Adsmanager and its other associated components.

AdsManager is born 10 years ago and, as of today, the number of new subscriptions and downloads have fallen and we cannot maintain the component anymore.

All active subscribers will be able to continue enjoying support until the end of their subscription.

The components will be free and no support will be provided anymore for the other users.

Here's the scenario I'm in:

Jomsocial users can post their ads for money and posted ads will be shown in the members-only area.

Outside advertisers can also submit their ads and and they will be posted to the above-mentioned members-only area.

I don't necessarily want the outside advertisers to register to the website as they are technically not part of the jomsocial community.

Is this level complexity something I can achieve with AdsManager (I assume with the Gold Edition)?

Please advise.

Hello,

You can allow your user to post ads without being registered by setting it in the configuration of AdsManager.

Thanks for your reply, Ioic.

I did not see that option in the demo backend (under AdsManager configuration), but is it something you set under each category?

My main concern is that because the main AdsManager page will be behind the members-only area, non-users would not be able to post their ads without registering, but if what you are saying is that they can, that'll be great.

Hello,

You can allow non user to post ad in the main tab of adsmanager configuration.
But please note that non user settings will not work with "payment system". Payement works only with user registration.

Can we still assign a different payment option (e.g. invoice, etc.) to non users and let them submit their ads?

There is no payment option for non users. Currently Payment is only working in the visitor is an user with a user id
