I very much appreciate the help, and for now I have disabled caching on the Bruce modules and that has solved the problem. But I would like to figure out why the Bruce module doesn't seem to work properly with Joomla caching. Have you sen this issue before? Or is there another caching system that you recommend that is compatible with this component?

The Joomla caching is very aggressive and often cause that kind of trouble.
