AdsManager is born 10 years ago and, as of today, the number of new subscriptions and downloads have fallen and we cannot maintain the component anymore.

All active subscribers will be able to continue enjoying support until the end of their subscription.

Hi there again... I am so pleased with Ads Manager so far!
I would like to have it so that when a person wants to respond to an AD... there is a Response Box created that directs the inquiry directly to the advertiser... possibly with a captcha and a SUCCESS response upon sending.

Is this currently possible?

I have attached a sample of what I mean from the Mountain Equipment Coop -- Gear Swap.

Hello,

You can set the contact mode for an ad directly in the configuration of adsManager, tab 'Contact', set it on Contact form.

You can also add a captcha by enable the plugin 'AdsManagerContent - Captcha'.

To have the contact form in a new windows, open the file /components/com_adsmanager/helpers/field.php, replace the line 191 :
$return .= '<a href="'.$emailForm.'">'.TText::_('ADSMANAGER_EMAIL_FORM').'</a>';

By
$return .= '<a target="_blank" href="'.$emailForm.'">'.TText::_('ADSMANAGER_EMAIL_FORM').'</a>';

This will open a new tab in the browser.

To open a popup, you will need to add some javascript.

Please, be aware that any reinstallation of adsManager will erase this modification.

Thanks for the response...
I am still having a problem with the contact...

I have manage to get the response to use the web as the contact... so, thanks for that.

However, I get a message on the advert itself and It says:
"You have to install UddeIM or Jomsocial for private messaging"

I have enabled Jomsocial plugin... but the message is still there...
So, I still have not figured out how to activate this function...
I looked at UddIM and could not figure out which of the many extensions to actually upload to the site.

I spoke too soon....
I have made it so that it is working on the front end...
However, I found the Ads Manager UddeIM plugin for Ads Manager; but for some reason this will not install...

I get the following message:

Warning
JFolder::create: Could not create directoryPath: /home/bbcaecom/public.html/images/com_adsmanager/plugins/ussseim_plug_adsmanager

and the following:

Error
Unable to create destination
This is not an adsmanager plugin.

There is no reason why it isn't an ads manager plugin as it is called: uddeim_plug_adsmanager.zip
