AdsManager is born 10 years ago and, as of today, the number of new subscriptions and downloads have fallen and we cannot maintain the component anymore.

Hello/Bonjour,

Is it possible to set the language on individual ads or categories? We run a multi-language site and I need to be able to display only French ads on the French side. We are currently replacing our existing ad manager because it can't do this.

Bonjour/Hello,

Yes this is possible.
You will need the "global filter" plugin.

You will have to :
- create a "language dropdown" in the ad form. "French/English:..." so user will select in which language you want to write the ad.
- You will use this field as the "global filter". You can add the global filter module on all pages. In the top part of your website for example.
- User will select a value in this select field. Then all the ads will be filtered based on this field. User will be able to do search, go in any category etc.. all ads will be only in the selected language.

If you want now the global filter to be set automatically based on user language or on the DNS, this will require some little custom code you can contact us by mail (in french or english) to get a quote.
