AdsManager - End of life

It is with great regrets that we have chosen to end the developpement of Adsmanager and its other associated components.

AdsManager is born 10 years ago and, as of today, the number of new subscriptions and downloads have fallen and we cannot maintain the component anymore.

[RESOLVED] Search by value and range was created by paranoikos
I believe it is mandatory to have search fields that would allow users to add lowest and highest values. For example, price range, lot size(square meters) and so on.
I know it is not possible right now.
I could help developing such an option and share my results here if you are willing to give me some pointers where to start.

OK seriously your component is useless without the range search. When you look for something, anything in eshop in ads and so on, dont you put a price range?

Hello,

It's an existent feature, all you need to do is to follow these steps :

  1. 1/ Login to your Joomla back-end
  2. 2/ Go to : Components => Adsmanager => Fields
  3. 3/ Search and click on "ad_price" field
  4. 4/ At the end of the page you will have some empty fileds under "add a value" button
  5. 5/ Fill this fields according to your needs according to these syntax :

Example :

Name : $200 to $500 (will be displayed to your users in the search module as drop down field)
Value : 200-500 (needed by Adsmanager to know what to look for)

Name: Under £200
Value : -200

Name:Over £200
Value : 200-

You can add fields according to your needs

  1. 6/ now save and go to Joomla module manager
  2. 7/ select Adsmanager search module
  3. 8/ add "ad_price" as a field in the options of the module

now you can see that users can search by price range
