Hi,

I'm having a bit of trouble making changes and seeing them on IE (i'm runing IE8). (changes made to the copy of default.php file for exampe)

Firefox seems to show the changes straight away on page reload. However IE8 doesn't.

I've been trying to make a change to the mod_adsmanager_search 'default.php' file (i've made a coopy of it in my template folder), when I dedit the default.php in my template folder, the changes appear on Firefox straightaway, but the changes don't seem to flow through to IE8.

Is there any reason for this?

The screenshots below show I was trying add a line after the title, however IE8 doesn't seem to pick it up. It randomly did aftera botu half hour of trying.

Thankyou
Jag

Hello,

I guess that the problem is due to css3 support in IE8, please make sure to target the IE8 in your css3 code, you can find a lot of useful resources in the net

No, that's not what I meant. The problem is that if I make any change to the default.php file, the changes to don't flow through straightaway. I have to refrest the explorer repeatedly and after about 15-20 mintues I notice the change comes across.
Whereas in firefox the change occurs straight away. Why is that?

Hello,

I am a simple user and I am just trying to help. About your problem, that's very strange, because you are changing the PHP and the modification is in the server side, so why it appears in Firefox and not in IE that's strange, but you can try to Press and Hold Ctrl-F5 when you refresh your page in IE, and it should show the result immediately if it's a cache related issue

It's really more an issue with your server or your browser than an issue with AdsManager.

Check if you have some "APC" module for PHP activated (that could do some cache of php files)

Ok, so it rhied this, it doesn't work. I've tried clearing cashe etc from the developer tools too, still doesn't update.

I will have to contact my host to try this.

However, you are right, it's not an adsmanger issue. As it happends across other changes i make to other parts of the website.
I believe now it's an issue with the template extension i have or what you have said above re APC. will get in touch with them too.
