Subcategories in Columns was created by rondc
I have one main category (Monuments and Parks By State) and fifty-six subcategories (the State). This list displays in one long list of state names, how can I have this list to display across four columns. Thanks.

Hello,

You need to custom the code to do that, maybe you can do something by adding some css.

Best regards.

Can you direct me to which code you are referring? Also, how can I best display this list in alphabetical order. Thanks.

Hello,

It depends of what page you are talking about.

Is it in the list page or the front page ?
The list page is here 'components/com_adsmanager/views/list/tmpl/default.php'
The front page is here 'components/com_adsmanager/views/front/tmpl/default.php'

I strongly advice you to create an override if you custom the code (www.joomprod.com/support/doc/customizati...c-view-override.html)

Best regards.

Thank you for your reply. Two things, how can I best display this list in alphabetical order and is there an node with $this-> that holds the value of the number of subcategories per category? Thanks.

Hello,

To display the subcategory in alphabetical order, you need to order them manually in the backend.

You can't count the subcategories without doing custom code, only the number of ads per categories in displayed.

Best regards.
