AdsManager is born 10 years ago and, as of today, the number of new subscriptions and downloads have fallen and we cannot maintain the component anymore.

Hello

I have Allow Root Submitting set to NO and I'm using the cascade category display

But when only choosing the category root you can fill in all the form fields and it looks like they have placed an ad. But then the ad is not showing (because in the root is not allowed?)

But how can I let people know their ads are not published when they only choose root category?
On other category displays it works well but not on cascade.

I found something here , but this is not working anymore because the demo doesn't use the cascade category anymore.

Hello,

I see the bug, It might take time to fix that.
In the meantime, you can disable the setting 'Do not reload edit page on category change' in PaidSystem.

I am using the free version so I don't have paid system.

Is there any way I can solve this myself?

I have a lot of subcategories so the other category layouts don't work for me.
For now I must allow users to submit ads to root category otherwise the ad is not placed when set to No and all the form field when placing an ad can be filled.

In 'components/com_adsmanager/views/edti/tmpl/default.php', line 36, change the 1 to 0:
$without_page_reload = 0;
