AdsManager - End of life

It is with great regrets that we have chosen to end the developpement of Adsmanager and its other associated components.

AdsManager is born 10 years ago and, as of today, the number of new subscriptions and downloads have fallen and we cannot maintain the component anymore.

All active subscribers will be able to continue enjoying support until the end of their subscription.

Hi,
With fresh install : when you click on ads headline then you go directly to login page.

In fact this happen when some conditions satisified :
- home page is not adsmanager menu type
- in main menu you don't have any adsmanager>detail link
- the first menu link of other menu which is of adsmanager menu type is published into registered users at least (not public nor guest)

In such conditions you will obtain the problem.

What I've seen is that it is due to itemid search sequence in frontend/lib/route.php but I did not resolve for now.

Like lot of other components, adsmanager is looking each time for the best matching Itemid for a URL
In your case if the only menu item has registered access level, the menu item will be used for all adsmanager page

Your analysis is correct. But this is not a bug, you should at least create a menu item pointing on "main page of adsmanager and set it to "public". Note: this menu don't see to be visible on your website, you can create a menu item in a menu (which is not displayed)

Hi,

OK for explanations, but if I do not have any problem with unvisible menu, I would prefer it to be unpublished but it is not allowed.
When only unvisible menu, then it's just a css trick and menu appear.

Could you, in next release, allow to check also for unpublished menu item ?

Unpublished menu means "you should not used it".
So only published menu are used. It's not because a menu is not visible that he could not be published
