AdsManager is born 10 years ago and, as of today, the number of new subscriptions and downloads have fallen and we cannot maintain the component anymore.

All active subscribers will be able to continue enjoying support until the end of their subscription.

Hello,

For a first point of view, this could be due to a lot of different things, cache configuration, hosting plan, DB optimization, etc...
As this is more integration issue (lot of processing times is generally due to modules, plugins, more that component), this is not really part of the support.
As the software is working.

We could spend 10 hours of analysis to finally find that your joomla configuration (modules, cache...) is not correct, hosting plan is not adapted, or your DB needs some optimization.

We could give you a quote for a first technical assistance on your website optimization (this will be extra job). Then depending on what we found, If it's adsmanager issue => fix this (and give back a part of the quote), or if we found lot of other things to improve. We will give you another quote for fixing the problem.

That's the best we can do.
As describe in the terms, the software is delivered as it is, there is no "performance" warranty.

Regarding adsmanager now. What we could right now is to check the POST request (to see if we can do something to speed up it but really not sure if we can do something here)
after that the problem is the 2 sec for the GET. But this require the full assistance extra job.

Last questions: do you have a large number of categories ? Only search page is slow ?

When I go to Search Results page, there are 2 requests. One POST and one GET. You did that to fix ERR_CACHE_MISSING when a user would click Back button. Not so much of a problem.

There reason why both of those requests take 2s is because DB issue. When I just go through categories, there is only 1 request which takes 2s.

I did turned on Debug Mode in Joomla to see what causes these pages to load slowly and it's AdsManager's fault. Most of the time is wasted on these 2 queries you can find in this thread:

Now how optimized is my MySQL DB and Apache and Nginx?? Well to answer that question, all I can say is that I use Cloudways as my hosting provider. If you are not familiar with them, all I can say is that everything is optimized to the perfection with them. They are specialized in PHP hosting.

I have over 3000 categories, a lot of ads published all together. If you look at those queries and thread I linked, you can see that the reason they are taking long is because TMP table has to be created. You may say this is not your fault, but it is, because you wrote these queries. It may work fine on your demo page that has dozen ads, but my website has 100k ads.

Note: If I use bad language, you postpone the response. And if you postpone your response, I use more bad language. It's a problem that can only be fixed if you responded often and actually give helpful answers.
