I received a forward of an ad renewal mail from one of our users and it linked to https://www... Our website isn't using https so the user got a warning about the security certificate.
I just used the {link} tag in the mail and I see no option for http or https.

It's the first complaint I received about this issue after extensive testing and +300 ads. But going through my mails I found 1 other example with https and several with http; no clear pattern.

Is there a setting that can be changed? Is there anything I can do (other than enabling https on our website)?

Hello,

We are using the string set in the configuration of Joomla to create the link.
So check the configuration of your Joomla to see if there isn't any mistake in it.

'Force HTTPS' is set to 'none'. I see not other setting in the configuration that is connected tot http or https.
