I did not assign root id = 9 . It's assigned automatically and it's extension's functionality . If i am not creating sub-categories of a category then will it not show ?

If there is rootid=9 in the URL it means somewhere (I think if a menu item you set it to 9)
Did you create a menu item pointing on category 9 => check that you didn't set the categoryid in root instead of category field.

If you are sure about that, send us a mail with admin account + URL + FTP + link to this discussion + procedure to reproduce the error (on which page to click)
