issue with https when sending mail in acymailing

Hi,

I have an issue when I prepare newsletters through AcyMailing.
Our website forces https redirection in joomla, and the hyperlink on ad's title in the newsletter should be https.

Since the link is kept as http:// (when adsmanager processes the ads tag in the newsletter), and since joomla does not seem to keep the GET parameters correctly for links that not are URL rewritten, when users click on ad's title (in the email they receive) the users see an error message such as:

The ad no longer exists or you must sign in.

Is there a way I can fix this? and can you fix it in your next release? ;-)

Thank you very much.

If my understanding is correct, you want to generate https and no http link.

In our plugin, we are using the acymailing function

$link = 'index.php?option=com_adsmanager&view=details&catid='.$ad->catid.'&id='.$tag->id;
$link = acymailing::frontendLink($link);

so the HTTPS or HTTP is managed by acymailing, you should contact acymailing for that I think.

I got the answer from the acymailing team.

Since Acy 4.x.x in the mail configuration, there is an option to force HTTPS link

The issue might be actually a bit subtle.
I set "Yes" to force HTTPS link on Acymaling, however, I've discovered that a member of my team had to overwrite this behaviour in order get http:// for the pixel link (to confirm the email has been read) ...
The reason for this is that joolma is installed on a domain with a host name different than "www" and since our provider does not allow SSL certificate for host different than "www", and to avoid SSL warning message seen by users after receiving email the pixel URL is generated to be http:// (and not https - although the setting)

Any way, I haven't checked yet, but I suspect the ad's title goes through the same method and is rewritten using http:// unlike the parameter forces it to be https.

I'm not sure whether it's the real reason, but if it's not the case, I will investigate and will tell you what I found out.

Thanks for the good pointer you gave me ;-)
