Hi everyone, would appreciate help with the following:

How do I limit the number of characters a user can utilize for each input row in the "new ad" submission page?

And related, how can I limit the output characters on the "ad display" pages for each category?

Greatly appreciate help with this!

Hello,

You can set a max lenght by setting it in the corresponding setting in the fields editor.

The display limitation is only exist for the field ad_text (description of an ad), you can modify it by directly update the code.

Make an override of the list view (components/com_adsmanager/views/list/tmpl/default.php) and change the number 100 (who limit the display to 100 characters) by the number you want. the numbre is on the line 242 and 243.
