Bruce Banners Manager

The best Banners Manager to control which banners should be displayed on which page !

AdsManager - End of life

It is with great regrets that we have chosen to end the developpement of Adsmanager and its other associated components.

AdsManager is born 10 years ago and, as of today, the number of new subscriptions and downloads have fallen and we cannot maintain the component anymore.

All active subscribers will be able to continue enjoying support until the end of their subscription.

The components will be free and no support will be provided anymore for the other users.

Getting Started

Configuration

To access to the global configuration of the component. You will have to click on "options" button in the top right corner in the top toolbar

In the configuration window, you will be able to configure.

  • Track Impression: If you want banners impress to be tracked by day
  • Track Click: If you want banners click to be tracked by day

Also Like in any other Joomla! component, you will be able to set permissions.

Create my first banner

Go to "components" > "Bruce - BannersManager"

On the "Banners" page, click on "NEW"

Enter a name for the banner, set the image that you want for this banner.
Then enter the URL on which user should be redirected after click in "clickurl".
That's ALL for this first example. You will get full description of the options in the General Documentation Under "Banners"

Publish Bruce Module

Now that the banner has been added. We need to publish a module to display the banner on the frontend

Go in "extensions" > "Module Manager". Click on "new", select "Bruce Type".

Go in "extensions" > "Module Manager". Click on "new", select "Bruce Type".

In the first tab : Set a name for the module, Set "Show Title" to HIDE, Set the position of the modules.
In the Assignements module : set the page where you want the module to be displayed.

Final Check

Everything is configured. Now open the frontend on a page where the module should be displayed.
You will see your banner, if you click on it you will be redirected to the wanted URL
